1.  Prepare the bed: First and foremost decide where would be the bed for the guest.  Pick a corner for your guest’s bed.  If you don’t have a bed, you can arrange for a couch.  It can be a single bed for one person or a double bed for 2 persons.  Put nice bed covers on the bed along with fluffy pillows with nice pillow covers.  A bed with a good pair of pillow covers and bedsheets looks inviting and your guest will feel welcomed if you use it.

2.  Put a bedside table: If you put a bedside table alongside the bed it will be convenient for the guest.  He or she can keep some personal belongings like spectacles, pen, hand bag etc. on the table.
